"Michaela on the 2008 NAIA Swimming Championships"

Swimmer Michaela Ellis:

We woke up yesterday, and were on the
Mills bus by 4:00 AM... can you
say EARLY?

I can pretty much say that
everyone got SOME sleep on the
way to Denver, our layover on our way
to San Antonio.

When we got here we went to go work out
at the Nationals pool to get a feel for the
water.

THIS is an UNDERSTATEMENT:
They do not heat the pool, because
this makes the pool "faster." However,
this was UN-GODLY cold, and I
think just another way to torture us HAHA.

Last night was the Banquet
where we got to see all the teams
dressed up and Fancy... which is so
weird seeing them outside the world
of swim suits and being gritty and
athletic and intense.

We got to see some
speakers and exchanged gifts
with schools that we were
competing with. Mills exchanged with Stephens
College.

In the morning, the whole team
was pumped and ready to swim our
events.

Let me just say, I am so proud of everyone here.
Way to go Mills!
